Purposes of Japan Short-Circuit Testing Committee (JSTC) are to promote applying standards smoothly by unifying interpretation of international and regional standards such as IEC, ANSI and JEC, to solve technical problems about the tests of electrical power equipments including type tests and to exchange information for improving testing techniques.

Activities of JSTC

Activities of JSTC are as follows:

  • To cope with technical problems about application of standards to high power testing
  • To investigate high power testing technology
  • To unify interpretation of international and regional standards, and to solve practical problems in conducting the tests
  • To unify contents and formats of test certificates
  • To promote Short Circuit Testing Liaison (STL) activities in Japan
  • To hold Asian Meeting of High Power Laboratories
