JEMA's Activities for Power and Industrial Systems
For thermal power generation, JEMA contributes to reducing the emission of CO2 and substances through introduction of the cutting-edge technologies such as gas-turbine combined cycle (GTCC), advanced ultra-supercritical (USC), 1500℃-class more advanced combined cycle (MACC), and integrated-gasification combined cycle (IGCC) power generation. In addition, we interpret that the hydro-electric power generation is so-called Purely Domestic Made energy form that does not rely on imports. We believe in this sense that we will be able to make even greater contributions in the field of hydro-electric power generation through supplying more high-efficiency equipment as well as the development of potential hydro-electric power station by utilities in the future. Moreover, we believe that leading technologies in the field of ultra-high-voltage (UHV) power transmission system, carbon capture and storage (CCS) system, and smart-grid solution are also promising subjects for reducing the emission of CO2 and other substances. Our activities for industrial system on the other hand include promotion of applications of high-efficiency equipment such as Top runner Transformer and Top runner Induction Motor.
